Our Ethos is simple. We promote, maintain, and encourage the use of classic aircooled vehicles. We run the club in an open, inclusive, and democratic environment. We encourage all members to have an equal say and part to play in the club.

    • To combine the best a traditional car club has to offer with the latest online technology and ideas that are transforming the classic car scene across the world.

    • To provide technical support and help with the location of spare parts.

    • To organise many high quality events on the annual calendar, including competitions, autojumbles, trade stands, displays, social meetings, camping weekends, and parties.

    • To encourage and support our extensive network of members who are the lifeblood of the Club.

    Club History
Eircooled was founded on the 14th October 2006 by a small number of like minded enthusiasts. On January 6th 2007 we officially launched the club in Clonbur, Co. Galway On February 21st 2007 Eircooled had 35 club members and 100 forum members (with 6000 posts). May 1st 2007 saw us with 65 members and 160 forum members. The committee had grown to 7 strong. In "Red" October 2008 we abandoned the traditional club model and moved to a system where every member is equal and there are no executive officers. By May 2009 we had 140 paying members and over 500 forum members (with 40,000 posts) making us one of the largest classic car clubs in Ireland.

    Club Officials

Eircooled has no committee or defined executive positions. Each paying member has the same responsibility to the club and each member is expected to contribute from time to time. Inevitably some members will take charge of some duties (such as treasurer) for long periods but the roles are always flexible and dynamic and may change at any time. All decisions on the strategy and future of the club are taken in public on the internet forums or at the annual AGM.

To advertise your services in banner format across the top of our website and forums all you need to do is pay an annual fee of €150 for trade membership. You can then send us banners, adverts, and sales material and we will make sure it goes on the appropriate web pages and literature.
